Have you ever bought a business card that is not worth your money? was it too thin? or was it just printed on a paper that is inexpensive? Well worry no more! Planet Advertising is here to answer your call!

Planet Advertising was referred to me by Robert “bob” Reyes when I saw his glossy and great looking Business card, I was intrigued by how it was made and printed, the craftsmanship is very professional, Highly recommended if I must say, and a thought comes to my mind when I received my own set of the business cards, why not do a review of the cards I got? So I test it in every possible way that you guys would bring a business card.

  1. Put in pocket – When we give business cards to our prospective clients there is a big chance that they don’t have a place to store the business card you gave, so likely they would put in their side pockets or back pockets,  if it was an ordinary printed business card surely it would be all crumpled and the worst part if it will be torned. Planet Advertising’s business card passed this test I did, I was surprised that the card given to me by Bob is still in one piece, not crumbled, not torn apart. right after I removed it from my pocket, you can certainly see that the card was bent to a curve. but with just a little magic touch!(haha! I just applied pressure to make it straight)  here how it looks like now.

  2. Rainy Season - There would come a time where we meet new people out there in conventions, conferences or seminars we attend to. And there would always be a time where the skies would just darken themselves and just pour it out, those business cards you give will just turn to normal stained cardboard or just an unknown material. BUT! Planet Advertising’s Business card just blew me away with this little test I did just minutes ago. I got curious how it will do when the business card gets wet or splashed by rain. ( I actually tried it in running water but I don’t have somebody with me to document the simulation)

That’s the things I had tried so far, and I am still amazed how the test went. I’ll say it again Planet Advertising’s Craftsmanship is AMAZING!  I highly recommend their services. before I end this review here are some photos I  took after I dried the cards (5 minutes simulation).

The Company behind:

Glu Mobile is the leading Freemium game developer and publisher. They are also the company behind the famous games like Gun Bros, Deer Hunter, Samurai vs. Zombie Defense and of course Blood and Glory across major mobile platforms out there Glu creates high quality entertaiment exclusively for mobile devices(source). For your information  Freemium means the game is free to download and play but to be able to advance, access, and or be powerful and gain unique items you would need to pay with real money.

The game is set on Ancient Rome era where young man(the player) would fight for its life on the arena. players would work you way in surviving the tournaments, each tournaments have five fights where the player should battle his way through to win the tournament as Invictus. After each battle players would be awarded experience points for upgrading stats  and coins to buy better equipments.  There is an option to enter an Elite Tornament where the player can gain premium items when you won the tournament but it needs glu credits.

 Interface and Combat System:

Blood and Glory Interface

Screenshot from my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus

As you can see on my screenshot the Interface of Blood and Glory is laid out perfectly,I cropped out parts of the interface to better explain them to you.

Dodge Button

Dodge Buttons: The buttons are laid out on the left and right side of the screen, this button is used to dodge incoming attacks though this buttons are somewhat small that sometimes even in your mind you knew you pressed it but in fact you missed them slightly. The player could attain a successful dodge when he timed it at the right moment. and same direction of where the attack came from.

Block Button

Block Button: The Number inside indicates the Shield’s Power to block. The yellow bar above is the blocking stamina, in which when drained out it would not stop you blocking for a specific number of time.

Pause ButtonPause Button: Basically this button will allow you to pause the game in times of need and access the option menu, mini store and restart or surrender the battle or even quit the tournament. Beside the pause button the hp(health points) bar is laid out on opposite sides. Blue for the player and Red for the enemy.

Potion ButtonPotion Button: This button would let you access potions you bought using Glu credits. Health potions, Attack booster Potion, and Block booster Potion.

Special Attack ButtonSpecial Attack Button: This button allows you to use special attacks, the number indicates the power of the special attack, the maximum is level 3 and deals massive attack. The bar slowly fills up while fighting, it fills up more when you hit successfully.

Oh? is there something missing? The attack button? Not really! The combat system being used in Blood and Glory is swipe to slash, also included is parrying. there are 3 awesome combos that deal great damage.(combos are actually located on the option menu)

Graphics,Music and Sound Effects:

Blood and Glory Graphics

Screenshot from my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus

On Graphics they are not the best one out there but they are definitely good, runs smoothly on my device.  Impressive HD graphics(Bloody visuals on NR version). very gladiator-ish feel. Since the version I have is the NR(probably not rated) version when a player or the enemy hits you blood spurts out and stains the skin of your character as the battle goes on. if you bought a weapon with a decapitation stat it would only decapitate the head after each battle. though it gets boring on that part, because even if your last swing hits the body the head still gets cut!(whhaaaat?!)

Special attack animation

Screenshot from my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus – Level 3 Special attack

On Music it is very inviting, the sound effects are realistic enough to encourage us to play for hours. the character voices are awesome too. though I don’t know if those are real language or just random words. but all in all it is amazing.

Inventory System:

In Blood and Glory there is no storage for equipments. once you bought new items there is no way of taking it off or selling it back. you just need to buy a new one or re-equipped your previous items. The store has this continuous stream of items showing everything a player can buy, including those  Glu credit premium items and the bank for which you could buy Glu credits using real money. it can be filtered which items you want to see using the filter drop down menu located on the upper left corner of the store. Be aware that Glu credits are nonrefundable.

Blood and Glory Store

also located in the store is the character stats where you can upgrade your gladiator when you gain enough experience or buy skill points using real money

Blood and Glory Stats

Blood and Glory is an amazing game. has impressive HD visuals. good Sound effects and Music. A well-balanced game, not forcing anyone to wait for hours because of energy depletion or whatsoever. Glu gave players an option to buy credits or use in game currency. this means anyone can enjoy the game without spending real money. Even if it must be played online and lacks multiplayer mode and Story outline this still an awesome game to try.

I rate this product 4/5

Do you have problems on the sound quality of you earphones/headphones?  Do you want to buy a new pair but you can’t afford it?  Well I would like to introduce to you guys and gals this little marvel.  FiiO E6 headphone Amplifier, a budget friendly portable amplifier.

FiiO E6 Headphone Amplifier

I have been using FiiO E6 Headphone Amplifiers since April 2012, and I must say I am enjoying every bit of it.I originally bought it due to my extreme curiosity of what a headphone amplifier let’s get down to business and let me show you how good this little baby is.

What’s Inside the Box:

FiiO E6 and accessories plus manual

  • 1 FiiO E6 Heaphone Amplifer
  • 2 Transparent back clips
  • 2 3.5mm to 3.5mm cables (1 10cm with angled plugs, 1 80cm with straight plugs) *both ends are gold plated*
  • 1 USB charging cable
  • 1 User Manual

Technical Specifications:

Output Power: 150mW (16Ω); 16mW (300Ω)
Headphone Impedance Range: 16 Ω ~ 300 Ω
SNR: ≥95dB (A weighted)
Distortion: <0.009% (10mW)
Frequency Range: 10Hz ~ 100kHz
Power Supply: Internal rechargeable Li-ion battery
Recharging: USB 5V DC 500mA
Size: 41mm x 40.2mm x 8mm
Weight: 16g

First Look and Feel:

The FiiO E6 headphone amplifier is made with glossy plastic and is very lightweight with a size of 41×40.2x9mm, and only weights 16g, its body is quite well built however if you try to shake the device to see if there are loose materials you can hear the volume rocker’s move(or maybe this is only on my unit) . This amp is very portable. and easy to carry or store in bags or pockets. The transparent back clips are easy to attach and detach though I must say that the clips doesn’t look that sturdy. that might be the reason why the company provided a replacement clip. having this glossy look the E6 do get scratched easily and finger prints marks the E6 body, the buttons are painted with chrome like finish. There is 2 LED lights to distinguish EQ(Equalizers) located at the back side and Power located at upper right.

Performance and Battery

With a small body will it last even for 4hours? unfortunately it doesn’t… But it lasted for a whopping 10 hours with continuous usage, How AMAZING is that? one more awesome feature of E6 Headphone Amplifier is it has 3 set of EQ. The First EQ (Red Light) is a bass boost, though its not that good to tell you guys honestly. The second EQ(Blue light) is Treble boost.(mid range boost). and the last EQ(Combined Red and Blue Light) is Clear & Balance bass boost. you can change the EQ on the E6′s power slider located on the right side of the unit. to change the EQ just slide it up.FiiO E6 Headphone Amplifier Power switch

If you would notice the upper right corner is lit. this is the indicator light for power. The color varies depending on how it is used, when the E6 is turned on. Blue Color means its working or being used. while if it has Blue and Red color. it is being used while it is being charged. If it is turned off. Red color means it is being charged. the led would turn off automatically when the battery is full. when you slide the power slider up and hold it for about 3 seconds it would turn itself off. sliding it down locks the E6.

The volume rockers located on the left side of the E6′s has a smooth transition on turning the sound up or down. there are no crackling sounds or distortion that can be heard in any level of the volume. as for typical volume rockers short press increase/decrease gradually change while long press increase/decrease constantly change in volume.

One downside of FiiO E6 headphone amplifiers is it does not turns off automatically. so if you forgot to turn it off. the battery would be drained continuously. but that’s not a big problem for me. I always bring my MiLi Powerbank, and with that I can charge E6 right away!

FiiO E6 headphone amplifier is a good if not the best portable amplifier out there. considering it’s cheap price of PHP 1,400 when I bought it at Astroplus in Mall of Asia last April(with 1 year warranty). It is a High Quality product, great performance, I recommend this to every Audiophiles out there. VERY portable, lightweight and easy to use. Accessories are also sold with  cheap tag prices.
